Suede is basically the hind side of the leather skin and is generally smoother and more luxurious looking than leather.
Leather jackets are good but often look too flashy, aren't very versatile and look kinda boring imo
Suede jackets are better alternative to this and are a more modern take.
This one's a classic. The dark brown suede jacket
If you want something bolder you could also buy in black. Like James bond in spectre
If you are bit more conservative. There are sports coats in suede also like what deniro is wearing in this classic
You can layer them pretty much anything but I recommend something casual. So T-shirts are good choice. If you want to do something different and unique. I think a turtleneck in a lighter contrasting color are also an interesting option
Suede jackets come in all sorts of colors these days but generally you want to stick to neutral earthy tones of browns, greens, blacks, greys so tan, khakis, olives, beige, grays etc. Leans into that fall/autumn aesthetic and compliments the matte texture of suede.
If you want to try something bolder. I think maroons and reddish browns like this are also a great choice if you are someone younger. Gives off a royal and upper class vibe
Give them a try. You will not be disappointed and will catch a compliment. I always do when I wear mine.
