When I was in secondary school, I listened to plenty of mainstream music and often listened to what was being pushed on the home page of youtube when "vevo" channels were a big thing.
Among this mainstream music I listened to rap music while mainstream rap was really in it's peak at the time.
Aside from the retardedness of the culture associated with rap, some of the beats and music production was actually good.
My best mate in school also had a significant music interest and we would often listen to rap artists ironically because of how bad some of their lyrics were, lil Wayne being one we mocked the most, but we seen it as a challenge to find a new gem within the rap music genre and debate about what was the best song out at the time.
JFL at how bad of a rapper lil Wayne was
shit like this was fully mainstream music listened to everyone within my rural potatocel school
From what I can see now, youngcels dont listen to mainstream rap so much as the genre is producing far less popular songs but whenever I see JB post music over their insta strories it's from some shitty up and coming WTM rapper with copy paste music style in the drill format.
Often in European countries it will be rap music from some deathnik status cravers singing in that country's language
Back to my interest in rap music as a teen, here are some that were peak music of the time
Here are some classics I still listen to when getting hyped up over crypto portfolio soaring
When I was listening to shit from niglets who were Gucci and lambo obsessed I started convincing myself that I needed to get a lambo as soon as possible (while I was 17) and was following lots of rapping niglets on twitter trying to figure out how to e-status max
As someone who has always recognized the power of status over looks due to being dumbfounded over the willingness for attractive foids to pair up with white and deathnik subhumans who had status, I always knew that status simply had to be obtained.
Perhaps this was what caused me to be drawn towards all the hype surrounding niglets brandishing gucci and lambos
Deep down however, wanting material items was a cope because I am naturally the antithesis of a materialist person and will go years without treating myself to a product I want due to knowing that saving and investing would benefit me more in the long run.
If I could get drawn into the materialism of the rap scene just by listening to some music, are normies who spend money on a whim even more influenced by it or did it have a bigger impact on me because of my desire to statusmax?
Whatever drew me into thinking I needed such status, does that also draw in JB who think they can get with a guy with status through rap culture even if said guy looks like an abomination?
