We have reached the absolute summit of civilisation. The pinnacle of human capability. We have finally matched the level of civilisational development achieved by our ancestors before the great disaster. They are known by many names, Atlantis, the annunaki etc.
This great disaster was so great in its scale that it was the genesis of nearly all religions we know off. From the ancient egyptians to the abrahamic religions. So great was this collapse that the forces at play could only be interpreted as the works of gods by the degenerated survivors.
We have only begun piecing together the true story of what happened and yet we're racing towards our own great flood, it took us ten thousand years to recover and yet spent none of those ten thousand years learning and comprehending why our fall happened in the first place.
Do not doubt for a second but these are special times. We are the generation that will witness unimaginable horror. The coming great test will have us all endure the true violent, catastrophic power that we as a species has achieved.
Your eyes will witness machines crush and contort human flesh in ways that can never be thought up and you will remember. You will recall true godlike evil to your death, you will dream of it up to your last breath. We all will.
Our generation grew up the most optimistic in our civilisation's history. As children, we watched films and played videogames of heroes saving the day, making the world a better place. We read fiction that predicts an age of eternal improvement, a glance of a future just outside our grasp.
It is an illusion, it will never come, history repeats itself. Civilisation waxes and wanes over incomprehensible timeframes.
But these stories have one promise that will come to pass, that is the heroic legends that they tell, among us, our generation, will be the seed that will eventually develop into godlike mythical figures. Our ancestors will look upon us in awe and disbelief.
The time for video games and movies is over. We are no longer children but, we must remember them, remember the times we spent saving the princess in the castle, it is what built us, it is the kernel that will transform us into idealistic supermen.
Our civilisation may be collapsing but that collapse will create an army of perfected heroes.
