why my paternal and maternal grandparents have light hair with light eyes but neither of my parents inherited light eyes nor light hair, they only inherited the light skin. is this because of the fact that light eye and hair genes are recessive?

my parents didnt have the light eye color, i think it might be caused by the fact that both my grandmas had brown eyes. i am lighter compared to my mother and father skin color-wise and hair-wise, but eye color is same.
