A time where being high inhib ruined a relationship

Last year i liked this girl who i found cute and pretty and someone in class told her and we started talking and texting. My school would host these events called rallys where we would go to the basketball gym and there we be activites or you could just chill. We made plans to sit together and talk for the first time in person about 3 days after we started talking. I told her i just wanted to chill and sit down and chill with my high inhib self. And when the day came she didnt tell me her friend was gonna be there and the school annoying jesters were sitting nearby(they are so insufferable and i did not wanna be seen by them cause they will find anything to call you out on). I see her on the bleachers and sit next to her and she has a airpod in her right ear the side im sitting on. I tried to talk to her but i was really nervous and could not talk for shit. I only said hi to her and just sat next to her. It was like this for about 20 minutes and she told me she was gonna sit somewhere else with a friend and then when she left there i was by myself with the jesters screaming shit in my ear. I felt so stupid because i couldn’t even form a sentence or a basic conversation. I couldn’t even speak a word and i would choke on my own tounge. And after that i just leave her on delivered cause i felt like she should get with someone who can talk. And im a type of person where i gotta get to know you and warm up a bit before i can be chill and normal with you. But this experience was hell.
