A wasp was chilling on my arm today

I was walking home today and out of nowhere this wasp decided to land on my arm. I was wearing a shirt and I figured it'd fly away but it didn't. It kept relaxing on my arm for the next minute and I was ok with it at first until I thought "What if it stings me?" So I tried to blow it away but it didn't budge at all. That's when I hit it with my backpack and it flew away. I feel bad now for making it leave. Fear got the best of me.

EDIT: Apparently it's a potter wasp. It was like an inch long.

Im not, insects are small and cant do shit , matter of fact i dont kill spiders or bees , i grab them and throw them out, spiders are really useful for us because they eat things like flies and mosquitos .
