Oh, you’re a Nepali Khas? I have seen their DNA results online. They/you have Tibetan ancestry as well. Do you have SA or SEA pheno?I’m Khasha
Khasas - Wikipedia
en.m.wikipedia.org
My ethnic group is categorized Khas Brahmin. My Mongoloid component is ~8% but it doesnt show up in my phenotype. I don’t look like a typical Indian to a westerner. Most Khas Kshatriyas mixed with Tibetid groups for political reasons and they have such a wide variance in their phenotype nowadays (anywhere from SEA to SA pheno). I think you probably looked at those but the mixing with Tibetids was recent (400-500 years ago).Oh, you’re a Nepali Khas? I have seen their DNA results online. I see, I will see if there’s any Khas Brahmins (JFL, means special Brahmins in Urdu) whose results I can see. What are your haplogroups? Assuming you got it done, since you were oddly specific about having ~8% Tibetan. My ethnic group is categorized Khas Brahmin. My Mongoloid component is ~8% but it doesnt show up in my phenotype. R1A1 if I remember correctly. ~8% Mongoloid of which ~4% was NE Asia, ~2% was Siberian and the rest were other fringe components.I see, I will see if there’s any Khas Brahmins (JFL, means special Brahmins in Urdu) whose results I can see. What calculator did you use? R1a1 is possible, it’s one of the most common Y-DNA haplogroups. Any idea about your mtDNA haplogroup? I can help you find your basal mtDNA but you’ll need to use a PC and download a program (safe, I’ve used it also).R1A1 if I remember correctly. ~8% Mongoloid of which ~4% was NE Asia, ~2% was Siberian and the rest were other fringe components.
I think you could search “Bahuns” or simply Nepali Brahmins in the databases. Usually, the NE Euro component is higher and almost all have at least 6-8% Mongoloid component.
I don’t remember much now, I used the HarappaWorld/GEDMatch calculator. I probably have the raw data lying around in my old laptop. What calculator did you use? You can download the raw data again, did you test with Ancestry?I don’t remember much now, I used the HarappaWorld/GEDMatch calculator. I probably have the raw data lying around in my old laptop.
23&me, what’s the software that you were saying? I’ll run it tomorrow after work. You can download the raw data again, did you test with Ancestry?
If you did 23&me you should also know your maternal, they give both haplos not just one. You don’t even need the program lol, but it’s from DNAgenics, forgot the name but you can convert raw data files into others. I was gonna tell you to download your raw data and convert it to a 23andme file.23&me, what’s the software that you were saying? I’ll run it tomorrow after work.
Ah, I will just login and check then (I need access to my old gmail first, I was still using Jewgle products back then). I was not interested in 23&Me’s results tbh, I did it to get the data so I could feed it into the HarappaWorld calculator. If you did 23&me you should also know your maternal, they give both haplos not just one. I would say haplos are probably more important, because it gives you more insight than autosomal tests. Can you show your hw results btw? I’ll show you mine as well then.
