My ethnic group is categorized Khas Brahmin. My Mongoloid component is ~8% but it doesnt show up in my phenotype. I don’t look like a typical Indian to a westerner. Most Khas Kshatriyas mixed with Tibetid groups for political reasons and they have such a wide variance in their phenotype nowadays (anywhere from SEA to SA pheno). I think you probably looked at those but the mixing with Tibetids was recent (400-500 years ago).

What calculator did you use? R1a1 is possible, it’s one of the most common Y-DNA haplogroups. Any idea about your mtDNA haplogroup? I can help you find your basal mtDNA but you’ll need to use a PC and download a program (safe, I’ve used it also).

If you did 23&me you should also know your maternal, they give both haplos not just one. You don’t even need the program lol, but it’s from DNAgenics, forgot the name but you can convert raw data files into others. I was gonna tell you to download your raw data and convert it to a 23andme file.

Ah, I will just login and check then (I need access to my old gmail first, I was still using Jewgle products back then). I was not interested in 23&Me’s results tbh, I did it to get the data so I could feed it into the HarappaWorld calculator.

I would say haplos are probably more important, because it gives you more insight than autosomal tests. Can you show your hw results btw? I’ll show you mine as well then. Feel free to PM.
