1. Memory backups connection to info on the net. Imagine being able to remember anything you want exactly and having access to all the info on the net inside your mind.
2. Learning complex skills very quickly. You could use a neural interface to train your brain while you sleep. Imagine becoming a proficient pianist in a week and concert level in a month with very little effort.
3. Ability to interface directly with remote sensors and computers at high bandwidth. You could see through cameras, control multiple drones. It goes far beyond that as well. You would be able to interface and cooperate with ai. Imagine connecting to an art generation and creating an entire animated movie from your own thoughts in an hour.
4. Deductive telepathy/ alternate personas/ manipulation. You could use advanced prediction ais to model the mental states of un augmented people with utterly terrifying accuracy. There already exist algorithms that can predict if someone is gay or not just by facial features. Imagine what will be possible when the tech to analyze people across multiple dimensions including online activity and then project that info into a persons mind becomes available. Combine that with the ability to alter your own behavior and emotion at will and you would be able to manipulate people to a very high degree.
5. Virtual reality. With a neuralink you would easily be able to experience full sensory virtual reality.
6. Superhuman physical and tactical abilities. Neural interfaces could bypass the brain and trigger motor neurons far faster than in a normal body. This would give you instinctive reflexes. E.g. imagine being an average person and slipping all the punches of a pro boxer. Another thing you could do is stuff like see a person with a camera in another room and then shoot them through the wall or just snipe them using a view from a drone.
Combined all these things together and have a person train these abilities their whole life and you have a veritable superhuman. Will this tech be available any time soon? At least not for century or so. But the elites are able to see the value of it and as soon as they are able to create a monopoly on it they will ensure an uncontested privileged position for them and their children. Non augmented people will simply not stand a chance.
