About to go on Minoxidil for beard growth

I shaved recently but people have been telling me I should grow a beard and I'm highly considering using Minoxidil, do you think it would be worth it or stay clean-shaven.

Side Effects I'm worried about:

1. Increased heart-rate(Had heartburn recently)

2. increased hair growth on other places(more shaving, haircuts, $$)
