are hitting abs cope? when ive been lean/skinny in the past/growing up, i just didnt really have abs. my brothers also dont really have defined abs ( their skinny )

im currently not skinny ( cutting ) and im wondering if i should hit abs while im cutting so when im lean i have semi-decent abs. will this do anything though? arent abs "made in the kitchen" implying you cant really train them to make them visible?

From what I’ve seen the most visible abs have been on leaner men. abs are like any other muscle in your body it can be trained and grown but since your gut area has a thin amount of muscle compared to the fat that can be built their the best thing you can do for your abs is get leaner. training them is still important but not nearly as important of other parts of your body just because you don’t have as big of an opportunity To build muscle

so lets say i get to like 7% BF ( hypothetically of course ) and i still dont really have abs, am i just cooked?

ive probably been 9-10%BF before and i just didnt have abs lol it sucks

While Their is some people who start getting abs at abnormally low body fat most people start getting them around 13 -11 percent a reason you may not have abs at “9-10” percent body fat is because you weren’t really their.. body fat is very hard to measure even professionally with a deca scan if I was you I would make sure I’m not just low weight and have a high body fat % (skinny fat) and then just focus on other muscle groups due to most workouts using the core either way
 
train them with weights other exercises are cope its very simple hit them directly to grow and lose fat to revel them
