I remember all of the times my mother, who I love so dearly and is my best friend btw, told me to not get into something because I am simply not good enough

I had a great mom

Mom is the only person that I can talk to about a lot of my problems, she just doesn't truly believe in me which is sad, even though I accomplished everything I said I would.

Dumb example:
When I was 8 I wanted to start practicing soccer. I told her and she said "Why would you start, there's no one in this family who you could inherit this talent from, you got two leftie legs and you can't shoot for shit, we will build you a soccer goal and you can play around the house"

I am not mad at her but sometimes I believe I could accomplish 10x more if she just believed in me

Well I usually have an argument with someone and then I let them know what’s what, then we come to an understanding

Grew up with an abusive/narcissistic Dad.
Lotta terrible stuff happened when in my childhood. Made me avoidant.

to make it short, i grew up with an abusive father, he used every chance to talk his son down (for mistakes i made etc), also got screamed on often, family fights were the norm, i did bad in school because i developed general anxiety as kid which shifted to social anxiety + atypical depression when i turned 13-14. i wasnt interested to do social stuff anymore and wasted my years 13 - 20 coping with gaming. now i think about roping daily. theres more to talk about but yeah, he basically has multiple personality disorders and probably some other mental disorders
