I’ve had terrible acne for about 2 years. Image I was using a topical adapalene and benzoyl cream for a year and a half up until about two months ago. The only major changes i saw were at the beginning of my treatment and I had been using it for so long without seeing any more changes so I weighed off of it and ever since my acne has been fluctuating in the same way that it did while using the cream. I’ve obviously been researching accutane because its the only thing that truly works however my only concern with it is all of the studies proving accutane is very suppressive of testosterone and androgynous hormones. These researchers measured an average 40% reduction in total testosterone across 113 male patients following six months of 0.5mg/kg a day.

I was wondering if It would be smart to mitigate those effects with a dose of testosterone that either keeps my hormones afloat or puts them in a small surplus. I’m doing the best i can to find a solution that keeps my hormones healthy from now until post treatment. I start accutane next Wednesday so i need quick insight on any pharmacological strategies to avoid hypogonadism later in life and ensuring that my endocrine system is fully functioning post treatment as healthily as it is now. Ideally a soloution that would allow me to return to the way i live now (free of any drugs that might nuke my nutsack or something) without long term damage or trt later on. If hopped on test x accutane, what timing, duration, and support methods would keep my hormones stable and allow them to fully recover afterward?

Looked up the study from the pic, it seems to be this
This leaves results open to pleacebo
