For example: I was carrying a mug somewhere, but I ended up putting it in the wrong place.

Or here's another very good example: it's much harder for me to visualise in my head what day of the week it is, what I did yesterday.

Has anyone experienced something like this?

This actually kinda makes sense. Seems to be really rare tho please keep us updated if it vanishes.

it has almost turned over when I lowered dose. firstly I lowered it to 20 mg/day but also had a great anxiety. tbh don't remember anything about forgetfullness.

now when I take 5 mg/day. I haven't any forgetfullness. maybe a bit but prolly it is because of my big calorie deficit

Accutane has all kinds of weird fucked up side effects. People underestimate how harsh this medication is. Some cope better than others.

Side note - I completed my course of it literally 10 years ago (oldcel) and to this day my skin still gets dry if I don't moisturize it.

yes, but anyway some people are not very sensitive and they don't feel any of this shit. anyway accutane sometimes is the only way to remove acne

you mean that u have used accutane and after 10 years you have to use moisturizer still? I think it's your problem not caused by accutane bro

Wrong. A lot of people complain about permanently dry skin post-accutane, even years later. It's the most common long term side effect due to the sebaceous glands often permanently shrinking. You should study up and do some research.

I think it's more good than bad. it prevents you from acne. especially for me who has fatty skin it's really nice. always oily skin is a great looksmin

Yeah of course, I'm aware that's the main mechanism of action. For me the all round dryness whilst on it was a severe negative. My lips became extremely dry and cracked to the point once on accutane I yawned and my lips literally split and became bloody.

Thankfully the dry lips gradually improved after finishing the course... though even that took a couple of years. And yeah I was applying lip vaseline and other products.

I also had dry eyes for a while too. That also gradually went back to normal.

Dry skin though it's permanent for me... and by dry skin I mean unnaturally dry. I consider myself lucky, others have had different permanent side effects.

I have some acne and im thinking to hop on accutane, im 17 and don't know what should i really do...
My diet is clean, skincare perfect (used tret 0.05 for 3/4 months not much results tbh)

Is there anything to do to not have these permanent side effects or predict if i could have any of these??

You could take a low dose. The lower the dose, the less side effects. I was on a relatively high dosage.

I only took it because I was developing acne scars. It was either take a strong accutane course and suck up the side effects, or slowly accumulate more and more acne scars which as you probably know are almost impossible to remove. Also my acne whilst not severe was extremely stubborn, even my dad still had some acne and he was 30 years older than me jfl.

The positive though - I've had clear skin for a decade. I get the occasional spot maybe 1 every couple of months and it's small and quickly disappears. Even despite what I suffered I'd probably still do it again as I basically had no choice. But I'd definitely insist on a lower dosage.

The other positive - dry skin forced me to really take care of it. People with good skin often take it for granted and get lazy with it throughout their 20's. I haven't got a single line or wrinkle on my face and I'm now oldcel.
