Accutane - UPDATE 2 WEEKS

It has been almost 2 weeks since i started taking accutane 40mg and this is how its going so far

ACNE

In terms of acne it is getting bad i have a lot of cysts that came out recently but that is due to the purging phase and its not that big of a deal for me because i have had breakouts like this every few days for the past year and a half

The only unusual thing is that i got few cysts on my forehead which is weird because i never got pimples like that on my forehead only bunch of blackheads and occasionally a simple whitehead

SIDE EFFECTS

My lips are chapped and it hurts to smile but thats normal (accutanecels recommend a good repair lip balm)

My eyes get dryish sometimes but nothing too significant

My skin is very very dry

Q: Should i put moisturizer AM and PM or would that break me out, or is it possible to break out because your skin is too dry that i produces excess sebum?

IMPORTANT: give me a good cleanser that doesn't dry out the skin that much bc this one that i use overdries it

i already have some lip balms but it doesn't seem to be working and i had some aquaphor lip balm but it fell into the toilet

yes i started doing that too and now my BB cream applies so much better

Nope. From an accutane user, that's propaganda.

Anybody who's acne subsided after accutane; it would have subsided anyway. It not BECAUSE of the accutane.

If you Google it, it'll say that for 80% it goes away, but those are figures made up by the companies producing accutane. Accutane is by no means a permanent solution. It doesn't permanently minituarise the oil glands. They just go back to normal.

Don't fret though. You can fix your acne with diet and supplements 100% of the time.

Your life finna transform - I know when i get clear skin that my social life will be so much better there are countless times that a lot of people called me to go out and i rejected because i've had new inflamed acne, i almost didn't go to a party this weekend because i had a huge cyst on my nose.
