WHO AM I?
Alot of you will know me from offtopic, and from EA Vanguard, but to those who dont know me at all i am a self proclaimed CHAD
(im actually mtn but was subhuman) who ascended using ACCUTANE, i am about to finish taking accutane (generic isotretinoin pill), and the results have been AMAZING. In this thread I will teach you about what Accutane/Isotretinoin is, how to dose, side effects and more in my first ever serious (100% BOTB Level) thread

WHAT IS ACCUTANE????
Accutane, is the brand name for the drug "Isotretinoin" which is used to combat persistent cystic acne, but is also prescribed by some dermatologists to combat lesser degrees of acne which also prove to be resistant to other acne drugs and is a synthetic retinoid. Isotretinoin's isomer, tretinoin is also a common acne drug which is used topically. Isotretinoin was patented in 1969, and approved for medical use in 1982. Accutane, is taken orally, however there are topical isotretinoin creams. Isotretinoin has many side effects, some common ones being dry lips, dry and fragile skin, dry eyes, and higher risk of sunburn; which we will go deeper into later.
*as i am writing this i am reminding myself to go and take accutane*

HOW TO DOSE?????
WARNING: ACCUTANE DOES NOT WORK ON PREPUBERTAL ACNE, AND SHOULD NOT BE USED ON KIDS UNDER 12
WARNING: I AM NOT A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL SPEAK TO ONE BEFORE TAKING ACCUTANE IT IS A HEAVY MEDICINE

So personally, I did not talk to a medical professional; my mom was in charge and she is a biochemist so I trust her with this.
That being said I talked to her and she gave me some old notes I translated and improved that she made before we went and bought GENERIC Isotretinoin pills. I would provide sources but those are long lost.

Body WeightMonth 1: 0.5 MG/KGMonths 2-5: 1 MG/KG
Slowly increase at month 2 beginning to higher dosage using 10 mg pills
If acne is still present after month 5:
1.5Mg/Kg
When effects are almost gone slowly taper off the amount taken until you stop
40 KG20 Mg40 Mg60 Mg
60 KG30 Mg60Mg90 Mg
80 KG40 Mg80Mg120 Mg
100 KG50 Mg100Mg150 Mg
120 KG60 Mg120Mg180 Mg

SIDE EFFECTS???

As I am just finishing up taking accutane I will talk about the side effects I experienced. I had Dry Lips, Dry Eyes, Sensitive skin; all of the common ones listed in the "What is accutane?" section; Something I struggled with a lot was the KNEE PAIN. I could barely walk, barely stand up. I was basically confined to walking by holding hand rail. This had a bad effect on my socially since I couldn't go hang out with NT people to mask what I am and could not play sports for fun at school. A positive-ish side effect I had was that my libido was down significantly, I stopped jerking off as much as I used to and overall it helped me become a better human.
Now this one isn't made by me, its found

RECOVERY???

You are finished, years of struggle, insecurity, bullying and attempts to save yourself from your acne and skin texture have ended. Your SMV has gone up, and you have ascended. What do you do now? You still have knee pain and you cant run, you have acne scars and you are still not confident :trepidation:.
  • For knee and joint pain take Type 2 Collagen, it works WONDERS I can finally run again and feel human. I can do cardio and it is currently helping me lose weight :ogre:
  • For acne scars, there Is sadly no fix all. Azealic acid, Salycylic acid clean your pores and clear your skin giving it a newer skin and are available almost in every pharmacy ;)
  • Retinol is what will help new skin come to the surface reducing scar tissue.
  • However those will not fully fix your acne scars, Laser resurfacing is basically the only method but you can only do it at 21 and older :hnghn: HOWEVER It is better to have a more tidy cleaner face with scar tissue, than a face covered in puss, bacteria and shit filled pimples :feelshah:

FINAL TAKEAWAYS...

Wow, accutane really is a S TIER looksmax. Yes you will struggle through it but it will ascend you from a acne ridden dirty incel to a cleanish still incel but not as much :feelshah:. Remember kids do your own research as well, you shouldnt take accutane if you have other medical problems and looks are not the only thing that matter, they are only 90% maybe a bit lower maybe a bit higher but who cares.

I just existed before I finally got to LIVE life because of accutane. Accutane saved me, It can save you too but be careful.

This is my first high effort thread and I hope you guys found it useful and enjoyable. Rep me if you like it ;)

Thanks for the EA Vanguard's support :)

80 KG40 Mg80Mg120 Mg
100 KG50 Mg100Mg150 Mg

Shitty guide atleast could add some stuff like biotin that decreases sides with studies.
Also you can microdose it, since lower doses work but acne can return.

How would that happen

Depression during the first year of treatment: pooled ~3.8%
Suicidal outcomes within 1 year (completed, attempt, ideation, self-harm):
each <0.5%
Across studies, depression rates while on isotretinoin: ~1–11%
Signal data (spontaneous reports): among isotretinoin adverse events reported to regulators, ~25% were psychiatric; in pediatrics, ~1.65% of children on isotretinoin reported psychiatric symptoms.

Not as bad as I thought actually - also your psychiatric statistic is slightly misleading. %25 of adverse event reports are psychiatric but its not a %25 risk of getting them.
