Anyone who has taken accutane before, any tips or advice I should know before taking it?

1. Moisturize your skin more than you normally do, get a creamier one rather than a watery moisturizer cuz it works better. I used Kiehls facial repair cream.

2. Buy Dr. Dan's cortibalm (worked better for me because it has cortisone in it) or just use vaseline for your lips and nose, they will get chapped.

3. You might purge at first, ur acne could get worse before it gets better. WHATEVER YOU DO. DO NOT POP THEM OR SCRATCH AT IT AND SHIT, because your skin will scar worse than before accutane. You could get away with those pimple patches that suck them out, just be careful cuz if a cyst comes to a large head and you fuck around with it will most likely scar.

4. Go on tretinion after you stop accutane, its like topical accutane and will keep you looking young and keep acne away forever.

thank you bro, I have a couple questions, did u take it through a dermatologist or get it urself? have u had any spots since taking it? and how long did u take it? also when I tried tret in the past it made my skin even worse so I gave up after like 4 months

i went through a dermatologist but in the future i will source it myself cuz ik how to correctly dose it and stuff. i do have PIE still and i have been trying different methods to get rid of it, mine isnt horrible and its gotten better with time, my derm told me that theres methods to getting rid of it like facial peels and stuff like that but im trying out tretinoin and niacinmide first before i do anything crazy. i took accutane for around six-seven months, but i kinda didnt take it as much as i should have. i have like 3 boxes left over from my derm that i never took. my acne went away very easily though. accutane is a fuckin miracle drug

nah bro if anything i lost weight, maybe water retention in the face? but honestly i looked the best i ever have on accutane

yea you will most likely will have no acne and be in the healing stage by then, good luck bro i hope it goes well
