"Michael jackson is overrated af and thriller is not even a top 25 album of the 1980s"

"Illmatic by Nas isnt a top 10 90s rap album"

"Death Grips and dalek are better hip hop groups than Wu tang clan"

"Mad Men takes a massive shit on breaking bad and breaking bad isnt a top 10 Western TV Show"

"Kind of Blue isnt even a top 15 Miles Davis Album"

"Forest Gump is Shit"

"Christopher Nolan is overrated"

"Igor by tyler the creator isnt even a top 25 album of 2019"

"Denzel Curry and J.I.D are overrated rappers and make shit music"

and so on

Spewing similar pretentious crap like this made people view me as weird and autistic and i realized how neurotypicality extends to your tastes in media and art in general, not saying you shouldnt be open about your taste, but dont make the same mistake I did sounding like an insufferable nerd

yeah i like breaking bad tho but since its the first "good prestige show and drama" people watch compared to the stuff people have seen before its the best thing ever, its still good tho but its just very safe narratively and doesnt have the thematic scope or depth of shows like Mr Robot, The Sopranos, Mad Men, Six Feet Under, The Leftovers, Twin Peaks, Bojack Horseman etc.." and so on like compared to those shows its just very amateur and streamlined, on its own its still a great show its just not the pinnacle of artistic achievement in Western TV like people claim it to be

I think all of Vince's stuff is like that.

I too think breaking bad is great but outside of a few episodes the show wasn't all that powerful or artistic, rather just well made.

And like you said, compare that to the shitty series Netflix pumps out year after year the show is gonna seem amazing.
