Advantages of only taking AI at 17?!

HGH is very expensive in my place while AI, 1mg of 10 tablets is dirt cheap. I was thinking of just taking AI to delay closure of growth plates and get more height.
What's the ideal dosage to take at 17 for how long and what are the risks? (given, I got puberty at 14.5)
