topic of discussion: should we allow AI to progress unimpeded without supervision, or require restrictions on AI?

restrictions could slow progress down for AI and ultimately for human progress (in the case that we use it for self-benefit which we obviously will), but AI with zero limits could potentially overtake us and cause a shift in the balance of power between AI and humans

It's already regulating itself by plateauing from training on ai generated stuff. Prion disease from cannibalism type shit. I think we've got a long time before ai is a concern, and I don't think there's much that can be done to regulate it realistically.

don't restrict it I want it to get smart enough to solve aging
