Al wars have officially started and is going on in full swing now. Every week some company drops a new model a new benchmark, a new partnership, or some random "We're rethinking AGI" manifesto..

Recent Major Events in the AI Wars

Microsoft-Anthropic-Nvidia sign a $30 Billion dollar Infrastructure Deal

META pledging billions of dollars with massive push into superintelligence investing $14.3B in Scale Al while also recruiting Alexandr Wang to lead its superintelligence team

European trying to catchup(They won't)

Mistral Al (a French start-up) has
formed a "historic" partnership with
Nvidia to build a European Al compute platform supplying 18,000 AI chips

GPU Arms Race has kicked started in Netherlands and China

Gemini 3 public release a few days back

Talent War

Companies burning through cash to find op talent to power their engines. And poaching and handing out mad contracts like NBA players

Feels like the early smartphone era times 10. Curious how people think this will shake out. Will we end up with one winner like Android/ iOS or multiple strong ecosystems? What a great time to be alive. I am very excited and I'm following the AI wars closely since day 1

According to the WEF this will spark cyber attacks and mass power outages in 2026

I think it's cool as fuck and even a bit exciting. I like using chatgpt and being able to make even videos from scratch with a.i is impressive.

I can't wait to see what the future holds for it.

Very exciting to me. Do you think we’ll see a winner soon? Or would it take much longer than iPhone. Because AI could be developed quite a bit more than the iPhone/android .

Nah no winner anytime soon. The smartphone era stabilized fast because it is hardware but Al doesn't each model can leapfrog the previous one in months. OpenAl, Google, Meta, Anthropic, Perplexity and even smaller labs all have their own unique advantages and different strengths and the field is evolving way faster than smartphones ever did. We're heading toward a long, chaotic race where leadership keeps shifting every few quarters. Expect this to last for 5-10 years more easily

highly doubt it’ll happen before 2026, maybe sometime before 2030
but the idea of mass power outages wiping data, if you’re into conspiracies, comes from the New World Order narrative to create chaos to justify creating order

Depending on your mentality its either an opportunity to escape the system or get caught back into a worse version of it

nothing will satisfy these sociopathic misanthropic utter lunatics until they wipe us off the face of the earth and themselves alongside us too propably in their boundless hubris. if you are one of the glue huffing mouth breathing NPCs excited about this, i envy your ignorant bliss, you'll propably stay sucking the micropenises of our technocratic overlords right until the point AI either kills us all or at least collapses society

Too many adjectives to say you don't understand AI little timmy. AI is math predicting the next token not a plotting entity waiting to wipe out humanity.

The plotting entity waiting to wipe out humanity is the handful of billionaires with full control over the AI systems who will see humanity as nothing more than an obsolete and unproductive burden on their planet once AI becomes capable enough.

It’s not a question of “if” but a question of “how”

Me too, this is definitely the most exciting thing to follow ATM. I am very very curious how it will all look within the passing years and what will happen to the future generations as AI gets smarter and better.

Just a closed circuit of capital within a proxy war. We are always too idiosyncratic to assume we're just in another bubble.

Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, Google, Meta, Nvidia, and Tesla are 36% of SP500. USA market depends on IA and it is also the big weapon which holds the USA against China, this is a double edged sword that most people don't see. Without IA the USA would be in a recession. Remove all this spending from the PIB and you'll see what happens.

What do you define as the "winner"? Like what does it mean exactly to win this whole AI race formally?
