Is their anyway to remove large amounts of air in insulin syringe when extracting from vial? ive recently swapped to 30gauge 6mm 30unit needles and when I got to extract the liquid only air comes out for a while which is weird as Im doing the exact same steps as I wouldve with my pror 27 gauge 8mm needles.

I do all the basic sterile practices but refering to air during withdrawil, for example I withdraw 10 units then put those 10 units of air into the vial and extract. However when extracting only air comes out for the first half, it isnt air bubbles within the liquid it is just strait air coming out.

have this problem with test, its safe to push the air back into the vial aslong as you havent extracted any liquid, to be extra safe just take out your normal dose+ plus the air and flick the syring very hard and it should travel towards the top

Ok

thanks but how do i stop large amounts of air from entering syringe in first place

first draw into the syringe the air of the measurement u wanna inject, for example draw .5ml of air in the syringe. Then put it in the vial and push all that air in there, then pull the syringe back a tiny bit and when it fills with liquid push it back in and then draw to ur desired amount fully, it should by all liquid and if theres any air still in there after withdrawing, tilt the syringe upwards and flick it a few times so the bubbles rise to the top and then just push the air out.

well the air is coming from the needle so you should inject air into your vial (about half of your dose) to create pressure and then pull slowly but firmly, your vial and needle should also be upside down, if there is a large gap of air (about 0.1ml of space in the dyringe) which im assuming your talking about your either not injecting air into the vial or pulling out too fast, slow or inconsistently. again this isnt a huge problem

I’ve been drawing the needle with air taking it out then flicking the air to the top and then putting it back in the vial then pushing air and liquid in till I get the right amount.

Am I retarded should I not take the needle out the vial?

With peptides btw

ima be honest im so confused but its the easiest thing in the world to fill a syringe, maybe this shi isnt for you because ive never heard anyone else struggle this badly with the simplest thing. You might just be retarded :lul:

I’m just asking is it bad to be taking the needle out the vial and putting it back in. I just explained it bad

Air shouldn't be an issue if injecting subcutaneous, only if u injecting into a vein
