It's a myth to suggest that "excess" Middle Eastern ancestry in Albanians makes Albanians "distinct" from most other Europeans.

Albanians do have higher levels of Anatolian ancestry than most other Europeans, but it's more in line with Italy (combined) as opposed to Southern Italy or the Greek Islands.
