I think everyone read the thread in BOTB About reducing nasal congestion with hydrocortisone.
The downside of this method is that hydrocortisone can be absorbed and enter the systemic bloodstream, which leads to a disruption in the HPA axis and an increase in cortisol levels.
I found a topical corticosteroid that has minimal bioavailability outside the skin (<1%). It also causes skin sensitivities much more strongly (That's what we need, it's what triggers the thinning of the dermis).
This corticosteroid is fluticasone. It comes in the form of an ointment and can be purchased at a pharmacy.
I only recently found it, so it's worth researching this topic more, but the potential is colossal.
If the topic is working, we're waiting for an update @Sadist

all depends on its strength. hc was my go to because of how mild it was, as you really don’t need excessive strength to get the job done - that would just create a higher side effect incidence.
as for the hpa axis part - its pretty negligible honestly. i only included it in the thread, so that people who REALLY care about it can be calm. but in general, the systemic absorption is so low that it doesn’t really matter.

but yeah if someone tests it and it works - great:Comfy:

I'm trying mometasone with the prospect of switching to hydrocortisone in a week. Update in a week.

do you need to use a nose tape for it too? I saw a guy on tiktok said use nose tape too

This is a pretty strong drug and the tape can create an occlusion effect. I even feel anxious after hydrocortisone. If I do occlusion with it, I will go crazy and become like a person from the future according to scientists.
