I sit beside a window, and I was looking out the window at this forest in the distance, just thinking about how much better my life would be if I lived in it. Just killing animals and eating them for a living instead of wasting my time in school or working. It would be beautiful.

I’m too much of a pussy right now

It’s going to happen soon though and I’m not joking
if you actually plan to do something like that i'd at least spend a few years learning carpentry, electrical, plumbing, woodwork, farming, etc

Nah bruh there are quadrillions of living organisms who kill, eat, sleep. Only a small percentage of the human population get to experience the wonders of science. You’re not missing out on anything. You will if you drop out.

Who cares about learning science if you don’t even get to experience it

Knowledge doesn’t matter, and only makes you more depressed

In an ideal world I would know nothing but to kill and reproduce

You will experience it once you graduate and get hired, meanwhile you could (and should) participate in workshops or internships to get hands on experience.

Maybe, but I also just don’t know if I will even like being an engineer, seems like too much work inside for me

Why did you pursue it? Do you find anything else interesting?

Money, stability, good at math and physics and like solving problems

I still think it’s one of the best job options, I just don’t want to work at all, I feel like life is worth more than to work all day and come home and be miserable

Are you even passionate about it? What type of engineering are you planning to do? What do you plan to build?

For example, I plan on getting a phd in physics to enter nuclear physics since I want to work on making fusion energy possible.

If you have nothing in engineering to motivate you, you might benefit switching majors to something that does.

I haven’t decided yet it’s just general engineering for my first year

I am thinking either civil or electrical

well good luck and i personally hope you stick through it as you’d have more options in the end. I’m also going into engineering next year thinking of majoring in chemical engineering
