had teeth removed at a young age, a considerable amount too, mainly at the back of my lower jaw, this is most likely due to a shit diet from a young age and overload with sugar, however I was pretty ill during the time too, which dentists think could've added to the decay from stomach acid, anyways i've been working on my bodyfat and trying to debloat, I thought this would've saved my fucked up face jfl however I have now come to the realisation that its most likely nothing to do with my facefat and instead my fucked up jaw, which when looking at previous generations in my family are all chad, high T with jaws and zygos which i could only dream of, i have a feeling this is due to my missing teeth.

Anyways I have decided to get dental implants put in place, which I should be getting sorted at the start of next month, am I wasting my time doing this or is it worth it

It's an age old story. "All my relatives are chads but my ortho fucked me......"
"Because of two extractions, I don't have a forward grown maxilla."
Sure....

If you still have large enough gaps that you can fit implants, how much could the extractions have really fucked you up?

I don't really see how extractions could substantially change facial development.

it's not really the extractions, it's the retraction

Could you elaborate?
it causes bone loss. it can be devastating for facial growth, especially at a young age. once you retract the teeth you can't reverse it without surgery because of the bone loss.

I have a similar story, now one of my premolars (bottom) falls inwards and my left jaw is visibly shorter, I personally thing it's the cause of that asymmetry
