Mirin the eye Width.

It's not good looking, because lens distortion. You can't see your face through a smartphone, not for another 10 years probably. Though... It could be overcome through software even now, tbh.
It's suifuel trying to derive your looks from this shit. I look unlike I do irl. Such bs.

Yeah I know, but when I say this I get told that I am coping and need to move the phone atleast 5 feet away lol. So now I believe my phone's reflection and not the mirror, which tells me I am kinda good looking. Ah I dunno. Got laid last week tho so feeling good. I am eager to go again for round 2 but the slut is worried about the new mutation of Covid going around the UK and being especially prevalent in London.

The fade is good but the fringe doesn’t go well with it. If you have short hair on top your face would look more lean.

I mean, you'll know it, but whatever. If you care this much for looking good in a pic/video - get a real camera. You work in real estate, would imagine you'd have an actual camera... Also, would imagine real estate and photography goes hand in hand, so really camera should be a sort of a tool for you, no? Idk, maybe I have this romanticised idea about "real estate business"
Mirror can also be warped and distorted. I could show pics that make me look unlike myself. All in angles, distances and distortions. Nothing is real.

Here is an answer I found on Quora:

"As an oil painter and portrait painter I have had to work from photos for decades. I try to paint as much from life as possible. The camera eye CANNOT see what the human eye and brain can. It sees far less color and less distinction between values (dark to light), and cannot see edges and detail as clearly as the human eye can.. And as Daniel said, the curvature of the lens distorts facial features: length of noses, chins, foreheads, size of ears, hair mass, etc. As a rule we will not take or use photos for proportion that were shot from less than 10 feet from the model. Photos actually lie so bad that an oil painter who relies heavily on photos must return to the live model for practice pretty often, so they don't lose the ability correct or make up for the lies that photos constantly tell. The mirror is what you look like --- but in reverse. Thank you, Daniel."

I look way better in the mirror. But then I look at some guys I browse past on Omegle and they are looking fucking good, however I'm telling their webcams are much higher spec. I am getting a 1.2-1.4 lens soon. Still figuring out which is the best and will mean I won't have to upgrade for a while.

so you look better in the mirror which is also the most realistic way to see yourself, is that true?????

Yup. I bought a true mirror though to see myself reversed without camera distortion. It's eye-opening.

you could have used two regular mirrors as well; place one against the other and look through that one. only downside is that you cant look straight ahead of you so you dont really get that good a look at yourself unfortunately. can you look straight in front of you with your true mirror? and is it eye opening in the sense that you still look as good or even better (compared to your usual mirrored self in reflections)

most phones have wide angle lenses that distort.
You only need 50mm full frame eq lens to look as real as possible.
Human eye is near 50mm focal length
Focal lengths 0

Bruh.. Some guy posted here his fucking Phone picture and everyone suggested Jaw implants.. After he posted his 3K camera picture.. His jaw was fucking mogger and wide.... The distortion makes your jaw more narrower and your nose bigger.

This.

Most of the people who take pictures for reality are Zoomers.

25+ Millennials know there is a distinct difference between real life and the camera.

Guys it’s not lens most of the time, it’s fucking lighting

take phone pics and then dslr pics in natural light and you’d look almost the same
Most people post pics on insta or tinder using their iPhones

Lens still affect your facial proportion. Go in Tinder and all the most popular users has taken their pictures with professional camera. Selfie in Tinder not only fucks up your face proportion, its also very unprofessional. Phones uses 14-35m Wide angle lenses which are not even meant for Portraits. They works for Landscape, architecture. You need 85m 135mm lenses for Portraits.

Like its very obvious. Most people say that they look better in Mirror is because those phones lenses fuck your face... My jaw looks completely different in irl than in Phone photos. There are reason for it.

Same. I can't argue with Black Pill extremists though. They'll always say you are coping because it's the way they have been hard wired.

Real cameras doesn't make you look better, but smartphones do make you look worse, so you're just removing a negative bias.
It's not even arguable, that's just how physics works. Smartphone cameras have a lot of constraints and can't capture your face properly, because it's a singular picture from a singular perspective, that's also distorted. The only way you could make a decent picture with a smartphone camera, is by taking several picture and using computers(smartphone) to reconstruct your face properly from several different angles. Smartphone cameras are too small and are limited physically, but software is the solution here, it'll also become a reality 100%, where no picture is ever going to be "real" picture anymore, it will be altered automatically to better capture the reality(remove distortion). Who knows when that is going to happen? 5-10 years, could become a reality. There's no reason for that to not happen.
