am i the only one who can’t imagine not being emotionally concious?

when you say animals don’t have our level of conciousness and they live off instinct

i literally as hard as i try, cannot think of how a life like that would feel or be, the closest thing i can imagine of not being concious enough to form actual thoughts and emotional conciousness is not existing at all

i’ve been stressing about it

and what about when for example a animal has babies, it seems like they love their kid but how can we know that if they don’t form actual emotional thoughts like we do? like how does that even really happen? what is going on inside their heads?
