Am I "weird" for not having an Instagram account?

I do not have an Instagram account, I'm not very fond of social medias in general, the problem is that nowadays not having an Instagram account is one of the most atypical things a teenager can have attributed to them.

Often times I am asked to share my "Insta handle" instead of my phone number. Everyone who is NT or "normal" these days has Instagram. Not having one most definitely makes you seem somewhat weird, neurodivergent, asocial, autistic or seem like a fucking creep. Some girls even using these exact words when asking for my Insta.

I am completely for making an Instagram account exactly so that I can become more "NT" and socialise more, but here is the actual problem. I don't know one person that has less than 250 followers, most of them actually having more than 1000. But who the fuck has 1000 or more friends lmao

How the fuck do I get to that level? Making an account and only having 15 followers seems even worse than not having an account at all. How do I also make an account and achieve enough followers to look neurotypical? Do I just go in to settings filled with teenagers and ask around for everyone's insta? I'll do it if that's the way.

I guess just start an account and follow you friends, from then on follow everyone it recommends and if they don't follow back unfollow them, seems a good strategy
