Am I weird for not wanting to befriend the "normal" people of my country?

I live in Ireland and it's pretty bad here, imagine someone cosplaying and acting like a british "gangster", that's basically what Ireland is.

I skate, I don't deviate too much from the norm but id rather crucify myself in the deepest slums of mumbai than wear a tracksuit. I wear baggy clothes such as dickies, carhartt and simple hoodies etc.

However I don't paint my nails black or dye my hair like a troon

There's almost no skate culture here and practically nothing but fields full of cow shit and broken vapes. I have to drive 2 hours costing a total of 120 euros just to meet my friends as they live quite far away.

I wonder if I should try befriend the retarded wannabe gangsters or if I should just keep looking for more people like me. I'm very social so I'd definitely be up to it but I just feel like they're weird for trying to be something they aren't, they're practically clones.

All I'm trying to say is that id prefer if there was other people that have deviated from the retarded wannabe gangster bullshit or if I should try befriend the hoodlums.
