When you dial a number and don’t put the + extension it automatically assumes you meant America, +1, the original.
When any government/company makes a website and isn’t American they have to add the prefix country code (fr.google.com, de.deutsch.gov) but the American versions of sites just doesn’t have an area code cuz america is no1 the original
every language has a bunch of English words in it for every technology/scientifc/cultural term and they’re always the American version of the word not the British.
Most of the world’s monetary system is based off the US dollar. For a country to fix their currency to the US dollar means they will have a great advantage than trying to make it on their own. It’s to the point where the US dollar is so fundamental that it’s not even based on gold or silver anymore; the US dollar is literally an end in itself and holds value not tied to anything else.
Everyone around the world either loves or hates America and they either wish they lived there (don’t come over shitskin and poo on our streets) or they hate us (ok shitskin if you like to fall asleep to bombings nightly be my guest).
If someone posts online like “is it illegal to do X” all the answers are by default going to be about American laws. Same goes for any other question that varies by country; all the answers are going to be assuming it’s for America.
Basically every country in the world is influenced by America and America is always at the cutting edge of the world’s economy, culture, and science. Whatever change happens in America is bound to happen to every other country soon.
When a random building in a shithole explodes it gets 1-2 news articles no one reads and no one globally ever knows about it. When 9/11 happened it was an international tragedy and sparked an entire new era of history.
