In the land of the free you have Fraternities and shit, official groups which you go to parties and fuck bitches with. You can just apply for one get in and start meeting people from what I understand.

Here in Europoorland you don't have this luxury. If you're not chad you're gonna be seen as a weirdo or tryhard for striking up conversation with cool, popular looking students.

What do European Universitycels do to expand their social circle?

good luck trying to get into a fraternity as a nerdy loser

befriend as many people as possible in your first semester, host a house party and from this point on you'll be invited to every party for the next years

No one gives a shit

the only advantage i see to european unis is that you can keep most of your friends from high school because they aren't going too far to go to uni (or at least this happens in spain)

Indeed most countries in Europe are the size of one state in America so the biggest Universities generally cluster around the capital or a few other big cities so you don't end up half the world away trying to get a degree.

Which country
Hungary

Dunno how are they called in English, they could be translated as "advanced colleges".

Ofc they are not the same as American fraternities but share a lot of common. They have their own dorms where members can live and have events, have their own customs, hard to get into them , full of typical fratboy chads and stacies (they are coed here). They have the same feel to them as fraternities from which I seen from American movies, they are basically circles where the most popular and good looking people can party together far from subhumans

I regret not going to my local university which had a reputation for being a party school.

Instead I went to the one with the best program for my subject and I don't think it mattered at all career-wise.

in my city there is a university with 30k enrolled students.

Social occasions are provided by a small group of "promoters" who organize two events a week in two lounge bar / club hybrids.

In Europe you just lock yourself inside your home if you're not popular, and that's expected of you.

That's a major disadvantage for people that don't go close to uni. Everyone already has friendgroups so they're not down to make new friends. Sounds just horrible.

If you're not popular, going to party uni would just be torture. Looking at the pictures of chads partying, while you jerk off to porn & eat potato chips.

This basically lol. Like ~60% of people I studied with were commuters so they would go straight home after class, pretty much always. Impossible to properly socialize with them.
The other 40% often go home to their parents for the weekend, but there's potential.

I find socializing and meeting new people as a student incredibly tough ngl. Sure you 'see' a lot of people your age. But actually forming connections and doing shit together is a whole diff thing.

I hate student-life in general. U study from 9-5, eat, and then find the few hours u have left in the evening for some hobbies/working out. All this while earning 0 money and living basically like poverty-tier wageslaves. No idea why people find this period in their lives any fun at all.

And inceldom is sooo fucking rampant too. I've always much preferred wageslaving over studycelling.

Yeah, only gigachads have the best time of their lives while studying, and everyone is just repeating this mantra in vain hope to be seen as a cool guy or gal.
Best time of my life so far was in pre-school and elementary school. The memories I have from that time are just... beautiful.

in fact. It looks like poor students and foreign students have always access to cheap student dorms
