Anyone who disses American psycho or calls it performative clearly doesn’t know the deeper elements of the story and also have clearly not read the book. If you haven’t read the book already, I highly recommend people to read it. Patrick Bateman is nowhere near a surface level character and goes extremely deep. I know this is random, but I felt like people should understand this more.
