I hate when people are having a discussion and someone says "your a {insert role} what do you know about this subject"

With Trump and his tariffs morons on the right are saying "these people can't even pay off their student loans, what do they know about the economy?"

You don't have to be an expert in a certain field to have an opinion. You don't need to be an expert in any field to have an opinion. As long as you are having a meaningful discussion about something you will leave the conversation more well informed.

Also I have a friend that can never have a serious conversation and always has to make a joke about something. Try and have any meaningful discussion and they just instantly try and turn everything into a joke it's so cringe. The discussion might not even be "intellectual" or well informed but can we not have at least one normal group conversation?

Possibly best mathematician in the world lives with his mother in some small Russian apartment. Our system doesn't reward high intellect, it rewards social capital. Wearing your IQ score as a badge of pride is kinda dumb tho.

You were born with IQ. You did nothing to earn it. It's like people that flex Daddy's money.

To also argue that the world doesn't reward IQ is flawed as having high intellect can give you opportunities to take on challenging degrees which will open the doors to more well paying jobs (e.g. Doctor).

I didn't claim to be high IQ im just complaining about the shitty arguments people like to make nowadays and how it seems ignorance is on the rise. This can largely be due to social media funnelling us into communities which just creates echo chambers. This website is a good example of that cause half the people on here can't comprehend more than 2 sentences.
