Geeks are now mainstrean same as gamers comics book guys etc
Which is good tbh more things getting the spotlight

Anime is drawn to be as appealing as possible. Not really surprising it's become extremely popular with the youth. Looks is an enhancement to any characteristics or character. That's the root of the genre. From there the most popular are stories about some larger than life epic adventure where the good guy wins and the clearly bad guy loses or slice-of-the-life you never had because that life is only for high social value people that are appreciated by others for simply being, set in school the best and most exciting part of life for most people.
Some anime I like. Eva had a unique ending, Cowboy beebop was a strange experience, JoJo's is funny and creative, Golden boy is a product of its time.
