is this surgery worth it considering the fact you have to extract premolars and then retract your mouth area? It seems like they’re aren’t many alternatives to this besides combining it with bimax the thing is some people don’t need bimax they’re jaws are very forward grown it’s just they’re mouth that are to protruded. any other less risky alternatives then ASO or would you guys say it’s worth it?

for ethnics with bimax protrusion its worth it yeah
sometimes its just flat face giving the illusion of or making the mouth seem more projected than it actually is
depends on diff cases
but for blacks, gooks, etc it can help

and idk anything else except ASO to treat this. Extractions + pulling the maxilla back with a device, i would argue, would be more risky than simply treating the alveolar process with a set back

this case for ex is suboptimal - she simply has a complete pan face w recessed maxilla, nasal bridge, frontal cranium, etc
so her mouth appears forward set. She needed lefort 3 basically

if youre a mulatto its very possible that u have bimax protrusion
