I have not, but know people who have.
Great pay but you're moving around a lot, constantly exerting yourself, (obviously) not the best working conditions.
IIRC you need some certification to be able to work in the mines / particular jobs there that have relatively better pay.
Great and honest living if you're comfortable with those variables.

Do whatever it takes to make a good income . You'll hate it but the bank account will be happy. Then take some time off to get surgeries. Apply for some leave though. Then look for other work if you dislike it

Are you a citizen?
no, i'm from the EU. It pays the best for the kind of job it would be semi realistic to get at a young age. Need to get surgeries before college otherwise there's no point going

I've heard it's hard to get in from some facebook cucks but could be gatekeeping, who knows. But good luck, hopefully you'll get in

Wouldn't be surprised if you need a recommendation or a referall.

But spam apply , and if you don't get in call them and demonstrate high interest . Will work for these sorts of jobs and sales jobs

just look on seek there’s 13000 + job listings
or I’ve heard to lookup fifo agency’s and go thru them. Get your white card and or other work related tickets like working at heights/confined space etc and you should be set

Nigga just go work in the Netherlands, you will make roughly the same as a wagie on the mines when you factor currency conversion, and if you look into niche blue collar jobs, the kind that nobody wants to do or even knows exist, you can find offers that provide free/cheap accomodation and even cover food costs, so you practically have no expenses, I am doing this rn and saving over 2k every month while having no qualifications and knowing 0 Dutch LMAO, I won't mention my sector tho cuz it's super specific but you can ask chatgpt and it will give you good suggestions.

How hard is it to get a visa and how bad is the cost of living? I live in sweden and for some reason it seems somewhat common to meet someone who has done this and i would definitely consider doing it for a few years before college while also getting a better college application and also save some money. Would you recommend it?

Also how hard is it to get a job

And is the spider and kangaroo sitution as bad as it seems like on social media

Can't speak to any of this bro, I was born here and have never needed to know this.
You should be able to get a job in FIFO pretty easily though, assuming you can get the VISA.

No, but make sure to seek treatment immediately if you get bitten by certain spiders, or you will die.
Very rare to come across them though, and only in certain states. I don't think anybody has died from a funnel web for decades.

I heard Netherlands people are cunts to foreigners that dont know dutch . But seems to be a European thing.

Americans are a lot more welcoming.

If you want to make serious money come to america. Aussies, Brits , and most europeans except Eastern Europeans and balkans can get long term visas a lot more easier then any African or Arab can. Maybe a 1-2 year wait but if you don't care then just over stay the visa and be illegal like most of the Mexicans here.

Not my experience, I never once was expected to speak Dutch at my workplace, we communicate fine on English.

Lmao there's no fucking way you are genuinely recommending me to go become a wagie on the US, yeah bro so much money to be made that's why I always see Americans online crying about living paycheck to paycheck :ROFLMAO:, dude I don't think you even begin to grasp of many perks you get as a worker in Western Europe, like be fucking serious where in the US would I get acommodation and food costs covered by my company as a worker with no qualifications? You guys don't even have proper healthcare lol, but yeah brb lemme spend half of my paycheck on rent, brb lemme liquidate my savings to buy a truck just so I can drive to Walmart to do groceries cuz there are not supermarkets within walking distance and public transport is practically non existent, brb lemme get fired on the spot and end up homeless cuz I pissed off my supervisor BAHAHAHA.

Your not wrong but I mean like if you become a truck driver for instance you could make 70k if you work 13-14 hours a day which is not the best hourly but for somebody with no skills and just knows how to drive and understands English thats pretty good. Accommodation is provided by the truck when your on schedule.

wtf dude that sounds based lmao

yup I did. Not an Australian but a new Zealander. im actually returning to Australia to get back into it, as my dreams of an office career didn't quite take off and the money and lifestyle can be good. im not as young as the rest of this forum, nor am I a looksmaxxer, just made an account to access some skincare guides, as I am almost 27. but ill help you young guys out.

You can get three sorts of entry level jobs easily. the two cities you'll want to relocate to are Perth or Brisbane. More work in Perth.

the roles are
Drillers offsider
Trades assistant
Nipper

companies want to see proof that you can handle manual labour, so just make it up on your cv. say you worked as a bricklayers labourer for a year or some shit.

Drillers offsider- is what I did. Probably the most laborious job in the mine, often can be remote so not in an actual mine site, therefore you can be required to cook food and muck in around camp. can progress to driller in about 2 years, making good money. swings (period of work) are 2 weeks on, 1 week off. can also be underground. surface roles will prefer if you have a truck license, but its not always a requirement. turnover is very high, with guys leaving often after the first two weeks.

Nipper - basically the underground version of offsider, helping out the jumbo op. this can be tough work, but you can also get an even time roster (1 week on, 1 week off) and you can progress quickly through the underground roles.

Trades assistant - this is the better paying of entry level roles, but usually requires an investment into a few basic tickets. these roles are generally not permanent, and you will be working Shutdowns, which means going to different mines and completing construction and maintenance work during their cycle. I would recommend looking to get into this work.

After that, you can also get into a blast crew role which is a good job but less positions, or a field assistant role which is basically a geos assistant, great if you can't handle heavy labour, but its a hard gig to get.

Don't go in as a cleaner, the pay is terrible.

an investment into a few tickets such as scaffolding and rigging can take only a few grand and a couple of weeks and increase your salary.

For those who aren't Australians or kiwis, it's definitely possible. loads of French, Italians, Estonians, brits and Irish working up there. So if you don't have a degree, nor a trade and need a bit of momentum in your life, give it a crack. it was great for me, hence why I am returning to the industry. You might even gain a bit of confidence in yourself and not need to resort to surgery, (which is craziness that its even discussed normally on this forum tbh). there are decent gyms in the camp and the food isn't bad either. Expect around 130k AUD on a 2/1, 100k on a 1/1.

really depends on the job, I would heavily advise against working shutdowns and avoid FMG Iron Ridge mine at all cost if you care about your health.
