If you need braces, chances are, you are recessed anyway to some degree.

depends on your situation, you will mostly hear ppl throwing around "recession" etc..
if they want to pull teeth out (usually premolars) to accommodate for straight teeth, that will cause recession and fuck over your face
if you just need normal braces / w no extractions you should be fine, just you'll need to wear a retainer while u sleep for ages

Just don't let them extract your teeth, Damon braces are a better option from what I read.
