Release order is:

Asylum

City

Origins

Knight

Story order is:

Origins

Asylum

City

Knight

so its up to you which way you wanna play, but i'd recommend playing in the release order because the difference between origins and asylum (in terms of mechanics/graphics) is pretty big

Non SOTFS ds2 is equal to Elden ring, ds1 second half is still decent, first half is peak gaming
