I definitely feel your reservations regarding the iris note. It is said within the fragrance community that they tempered the iris in the new formulations. Personally, I wasn’t a huge fan at first but it has definitely grown on me. Also, I’d say it’s definitely a complement getter which is always a plus.

Yea, especially the designer fragrances (Dior, Prada, etc). Niche fragrances are more of an acquired taste and are more likely to only be fitting for certain occasions.
