Any questions about what growing up in my time period was like?

I was alive for about 85% of the 90s.

I then went to high school in the first decade of the 21st century.

Seeing as I'm a lot older than the vast majority on this forum, you probably have lots of questions.

I myself don't have any social media (but I went through a stretch where I had MySpace and Facebook)

All in all, yeah, you could say I miss the time period without social media. Dudes like us (the type of dude to post on this forum) would struggle to get foids even in a world without social media. But we'd at least have a comparatively easier time if we didn't have to compete with all the men in a foid's Instagram inbox.

Somewhat overwhelming. Social media got to be too much. That's why I left Facebook when I was 20 (I left MySpace at 17 because MySpace was dying)

There are positives of the rapid shift of technology too; don't get me wrong. For example, I love Amazon Prime, Lyft, and Uber.

I also love the sheer amount of content available on YouTube today compared to my high school years (even though YouTube came out my freshman year of high school, bands didn't upload their entire music library to YouTube back then). When I was in middle school/high school, finding free music was a challenge (unless you used illegal programs). I remember the era when you used to...gasp...need to buy CDs. I had a walkman in my younger days (which was replaced by an iPod on Christmas when I was 14). An iPod came with the benefit that you could buy just the songs you want (as opposed to buying a whole CD). But still, the fact you had to buy music at all is totally different than the world we're living in now.

One last thing I'm going to address: Dating/hookup apps. Dating/hookup apps have become too over-saturated. My early 20s were the ideal time to get dates/sex online. As far as the online dating/sex marketplace goes, I wish we could remain in 2012 forever.
