If you're indoors, there's no need to reapply sunscreen constantly-only when you're outside and exposed to strong, consistent sunlight.

By reapplying it every two hours, you will just burn money.

It depends on factors like you touching/rubbing your face or skin, sweating or time of day as well.
Your skin naturally sheds oils and cells throughout the day, which can also disrupt the sunscreen film.

I personally use this one, but is dependent on your individual skin type.

Studies for that wouldn’t make since sense it is dependent on individual application and uses. Are you applying the recommended amount?
Are you getting covered in water? Rubbing it off accidentally?

If you’re looking for an answer of how long a particular filter would last as protection, here is a study

Are you fucking serious right now brother? Sunscreen is extremely detrimental for your skin, all those chemicals are being absorbed into your body which may result in liver toxicity overtime. Once you fix your diet, your skin will clear up and you will never get sunburnt ever again!

i did an in-depth thread about this some time ago

tldr: no you dont need to reapply every two hours.

By the way, my dermatologist even goes a step further and says you dont even need to apply it in the winter months at all. Basically because the cumulative sun damage in those months is almost non-existent.

Now that goes very much against the mainstream notion of sunscreen which is that you should apply it all the time, anytime, anywhere.

im just not willing to risk it tbh. im 26 and getting up there, so I will wear sunscreen all day every day. Rarely stay outside enough to need face reapplications especially since I always wear hats, but if i’m out and about i keep some on me for my hands
