Any tips for social media profil picture-maxing?

So lets be real. How we represent us self online in also extremely important when you are trying to date. For example often then i match with someone on tinder, some of the first they ask me is what my instagram profile is. When i say that i don't have one, they see i like a red flag. It's the same with facebook i think. You don't have to be the most popular, but it's a red flag, if your picture either is very old, have very few likes, or if you simply don't have a profile picture. It makes you seem anti-social.

I haven't updated my profil picture in 6 years, and i know its about time that i get a new picture, but the problem is, that i don't have any good picture of myself (lol). The men who takes simpel selfies from their computer or phone as their profile picture, for some reason just scream "unpopular". You need pictures where you are social and having fun and not taking yourself too seriously. Bonus points if the picture is taken "random" by others, and that you didn't pose for a shot.

But what is the next step? I have some pictures of me from a party, but it just seems fake. Any ideas to profile pics that dosen't make you seem like a complete loser? Do any of you use facetune-apps or anything like that to makes the pictures even better? Women does it, so why not? I have even thought about, when i have i decent picture that i like, to pay a guy on fiverr to make it as good as possible. Not in an unrealistic way, but just enough that people wont think anything then they meet you in real life.

I know that it's small things, but i really think that it's important to look popular or atleast not unpopular on social media. Any thoughts?

Did you seriously write an essay just to ask for profile pic tips? And no you dont need a candid group pic at a party as your profile pic, it's good to have these on your account for social proof but you dont need it as a profile pic. Get a good phone/camera and ask someone to take a clear pic of you doing something NT in good lighting. And if you're GL just do whatever u feel like doing
