Still trying to cut. By doing low carbs (under 50g), I frequently get sweet cravings. Are there ways I could prevent falling into temptation or is it just something I have to soldier through

This is my "cheat" food. Apple cider vinegar is also a way to satiate sweet cravings. But that's cause I fucking love vinegar.
Oh yeah and sugar free gum, whatever flavour.

This is something I suffered with myself and I have a lot of advice for what worked for me.

1) ECA stack - god-like appetite suppressant but if you don't like uppers you won't enjoy being wired. I like it. Alternative is Modafinil which is not a stimulant and can still work well for cravings.
2) AVOID diet drinks and artificial sweeteners as much as possible - the point is to break your addiction to sweet things. you may avoid the calories in the short term but those sugar cravings will never actually go away until you remove sweet from your daily diet. only use it in instances where you would give into cravings otherwise.
3) Many people try eating healthy with extremely bland diets like a plate of dry chicken breast which is downright unpleasant to eat. You'll crave ketchup or some other condiment to make it palatable and eventually get totally sick of clean diets and end up binging on shit food so you get some joy out of eating again. Most people think that's just how it is when you don't eat junk. WRONG!!!! Read my sig. Your chicken should be juicy and mouthwateringly flavorful. When you do it right the things you crave don't seem that much better than what you regularly eat and make it much easier to say no.
4) Complex carbs and high protein density go a long, long way for satiety. Fried beans and eggs are a great combo. Go for low glycemic index foods only.
5) Stay hydrated (!!! IMPORTANT !!!) and full of electrolytes. I don't buy the meme that salt is bad for you but do your own research. I use it on everything.. but I also don't eat processed food so at that point you do need to add salt to things for optimal health.
6) Eat at regular times. Just like the sleep cycle, our bodies really like regularity. When you eat sporadically your body can freak out because it doesn't intuitively know when the next meal will be. So high calorie foods will seem abnormally appealing as it will want to build up fat stores in case the next meal doesn't happen. Set a schedule and stick to it, and better yet, prepare all your meals for the day either in the morning or the night before. When you have food ready to go you will never have to make that decision to "cook and eat or go out and eat this McDonalds shit because I'm lazy" which is where you will fuck up the most.
7) Some foods actually seem to have a sugar craving neutralizing effect because they contain phytochemicals. Green beans are one of them and they're super low calorie. Sour or bitter things really help too so yes apple cider vinegar shots will help stop cravings pretty much instantly. So would sucking on a lemon.
