Anyone doing heavy neck curls/extensions?

Anyone started getting into heavier weight neck training that's been doing it for a while. I've gotten to the point where I can do neck curls with 40 lbs for 10 reps. Wondering if I should drop down to 15-20 reps to avoid using too much weight on the neck for safety reasons.
 
I do 16.25kg neck curl and 12.5kg neck extension for 10 reps each
 
I sometimes do few reps with heavy weight to build strength and "shock the muscle". But usually I do more volume with a lower weight. My neck has been growing with that training and it looks muscular.

The heaviest I did now was 30kg neck curls and 15kg neck extensions with a head harness. Those reps were not as clean as with lower weight but I'm getting DOMs and I noticed that 10kg neck extensions feel easier now so I would say it's probably working.
 
Wouldn’t go to heavy on them keep it at high rep

I do 5kg for 50 forward, 25 back and sides, 3 sets
