Anyone else barely feel anything using Tret 0.1%?

Upgraded from 0.05% Tret cream to 0.1% Tret gel 2 days ago (that is legit) but not experienced any significant dryness or redness.

First day I seemingly had no response and used more day 2 only a slight sensation for like 10 mins and 1 layer of peeling at a couple acne scars after using a significant amount of gel which should be more powerful than the cream.

Anyone else used Tret without significant side effects but experienced good skin benefits overall after 3-6 months?

You wont notice a thing after two days or even two weeks. Tretinoin is a long game just like minoxidil, the results come in only months and years later. But when they come in they beat surgery or transplants.

It does take daily application which is where many people fail. It does take some discipline.
If you apply randomly and sporadically, results will be bad or nonexistent.

I had great results with 0,05% tretinoin. 0,1% would have the exact same results but faster. The only reason not to use 0,1% would be if you experience skin redness. I had some and went back to 0.05, but that's completely individual.

I just cranked up to 0.1 from a few months of 0.25 and haven't noticed any apparent side effects. Would it be utterly fuckupable to apply tret every night or should I just space things out a tad bit?

I'm using adapalene (similar to tret) for a few months and I've only had good effects. Just means you are moisturising well and your skins moisture barrier is healthy

I thought everyone applied it nightly

There is absolutely, 100% no risk of applying it nightly. And specifically at night, since tretinoin and retinols in general degrade in sunlight.

If your skin is very dry, you could apply it, then slug the skin with vaseline. It should look amazing in the morning.
See 'slugging' threads in the Search bar.

That's really all it takes to get that "glass skin" those Korean actors and models have: Tretinoin, vaseline slugging and a good nights sleep for a few months. As long as your diet is on point, you will get that skin as well.

that makes sense thanks

Yeah I’ve been using 0.25% and I’m about to start 0.1% and I’ve seen a lot of people on r/tretinoin say it’s really harsh but everyone here says otherwise. I’ve been slugging before sleep too skin is mog tier atm

Yeah I thought it was default that everyone went through a major peel or some shit but probably because they’re not used to moisturising and even cleaning their face before hand

Then they go straight to 0.1% and their face basically falls off from all the dead skin cells being removed

If you’ve been using 0.25% for a while and cleansing, moisturising etc you probably won’t have many side effects based on my experience anyway

Yeah I agree, especially combined with slugging my skin won’t dry out I think
