Anyone else both right handed and left handed ?

Not to be confused with Ambidextrity ( Being equal at everything with both hands ) I have cross-dominance , left handed for some things , right handed for others , is it because of my Aspergers ?
Anyone else have it ?

a little bit of both, I can use both of my hands for all tasks but one is a little better than the other depending on the situation, writing with left is annoying for example because you drag your palm over the text, but I use mostly my left hand for when I'm trimming hedges, and mostly hang on to my right and use my left to operate the chainsaw at work while trimming trees.

I only fap with my right hand if I use a lubricant. Otherwise left. I can fap with both too. And don’t worry! Basically we are encouraged to eat with our right hands, praise god before eating. We also wipe our asses with our left hand.

No I don’t think I have! I have dietary laws to follow. And I don’t think I’ve come across some that are halal (or kosher). And I feel like if I try one that’s halal that it’s not authentic.

I have heard many people say this “I use my left hand for bad things and my right hand for everyday things” in reality it makes no difference as it is advised to use your right hand for everything in islam. I think it is purely a choice from efficiency that you use your left hand, because this is the same case with me.

Ahmad reported with a hasan isnaad from Aaishah and attributed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): Whoever eats with his left hand, the Shaytaan eats with him. (Tuhfat al-Ahwadhi, commentary on hadeeth 1721).


Hafsah (may Allaah be pleased with her), the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to use his right hand for eating, drinking and getting dressed and his left hand for everything else.

Al-Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:

This is a fixed rule in shareeah. It has to do with honourable things such as putting on ones shirt, trousers and shoes, entering the mosque, using siwaak, applying kohl, combing and styling ones hair, shaving the head, giving salaam at the end of prayer, washing oneself in ghusl or wudoo, leaving the toilet, eating, drinking, shaking hands, acknowledging the Black Stone, and other things where we are encouraged to use the right hand or start with the right. As for the opposite [things that are not honourable], such as entering the toilet, leaving the mosque, blowing ones nose, washing oneself after using the toilet, taking off one's shirt, trousers and shoes, and so on, then we should start with the left or use the left hand. All of this has to do with honouring the right hand or right side.

Some people may have a real problem that prevents them from using their right hand, such as being paralyzed and so on. In this case they are excused and there is no blame on them. Al-Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: If he has an excuse for not eating and drinking with his right hand, such as sickness or an injury, then this is not makrooh

Okay that’s good because I always eat and drink with right and think “astagfirullah” when someone eats with their left hand (if the person is raised in an Islamic country/culture/household, JFL).
