I used to share the common misconception that art was just a bunch of middle aged men drawing random things and attaching some contrived backstory to make it seem meaningful. But over time, I’ve come to realize that "art" is a far broader and more nuanced concept. I've grown to appreciate my own taste in music and visual aesthetics, things that genuinely inspire me to learn more and keep me alive. Human's attraction to art is deeply rooted in biology and there’s not much we can do about that.
