Obviously I hate Hillary but the people voting left generally liked her more than they like Biden, and she had much more of a record, plus the muh women muh diversity appeal.

Trump and Biden are both rich, east coast, boomer, ex-chads, and trump is more successful and more charismatic. Biden could absolutely get a solid 40%, but win the whole thing? I don’t think so

Biden is a man (not trying to be a white knight just saying, it does matter) and he also gives off less of a creepy lizard vibe than Hillary. A lot of people got weird vibes from Hillary (rightfully so, as I told a friend the other day, whenever I watched her talk I got the odd sense she was trying to distract me so she could steal my lunch)
I would fucking love to be wrong though. Watching Trump win again would be fucking insane. I still remember the feeling in 2016, feeling the sensation of a smile appear on my face as I slowly realized what was about to happen while all my friends watched in horror.

That’s valid, the president obviously doesn’t actually run the country. But yang is the first politician that I’ve actually found exciting, instead of just funny. The odds and establishment are against him and that won’t change even if he wins. But getting good ideas out there and creating a real movement is at least worth something.

I’ve got family in Des Moines where the next debate is so I’m thinking about spending January out there to volunteer for the campaign while building my software portfolio and communicating with surgeons and orthodontists
