Anyone else saw the “hatman”?

People from all cultures, different races, religious views and ages have reported seeing this entity. He/It has been spotted in all conscious states: awake,dreams,sleep paralysis, drug trips etc

“Hat Man is a phenomenon in which witnesses report seeing a shadow-like entity dressed in a trench coat and a hat of some kind, usually a fedora. Witnesses report it’s height being between 6’2 all the way up to 7’ tall.

Brutal, we will never escape being mogged.

The Hat Man acts like a ghost, and is almost always seen there, just standing up. This form can simply fade until the witness no longer sees it and has no apparent reaction to people. For example, many people reported "bumping into" this entity, which does absolutely nothing for seconds or minutes, then moves around a bit and just vanishes, as if it couldn't detect who saw it.

Unlike a ghost, who might have visible facial features, the Hat Man is a shadow in the dark in its entirety, with no identifying features.”

My cousin just saw it for a split second yesterday night. He claimed he was wide awake. So i decided to ask this autistic forum as well (i think it’s a bad idea)

Why? Same thing appeared to people of all races/religions etc. Djinn/Demon ? Some reported feeling protected by it.

When I used to get sleep paralysis I was able to move a bit and once felt a presence on top of me, I was able to rotate my head to face it and saw an opaque foid. Had a ponytail. It was kind of wild having this completely black face facing mine.
Also a few times I literally got attacked by some demon but I would just hear heavy agressive breathing (def male) and felt him try to get hold of my neck. Also once felt a blade on my neck. Every time I was able to tell it wasn t real so I remained somewhat chill during those experience. However I would still try to fight off the paralysis and would succeed but it was hard. I would start by trying to move my toes and feet and then would shake my legs and generally after that I would be freed.

It would make sense to see different things. But people all over the world reported seeing the same thing regardless of background. Tall, trench coat and a wide brim hat

2 weeks ago i woke up from a dream where i got ambushed by a shadow being while exploring an abandoned building. I ran towards it to fight it then woke up in sleep paralysis and hear heavy breathing even tho i saw my chest breathing normally. But it was daylight and I didn’t see anything or anyone

i don't think this is legit. i said, when people hear about the story of hat man and see pictures, they try to re-imagine things from their dreams. but dreams are vague and blurry. so they automatically adjust it to match what they saw from pics and descriptions. thus they think they saw it but it was just a random vague figure.
it could be anything.

I think it s because we have naturally ingrained instincts to be wary of people preying upon us. And the most dangerous person in nature would be a tall dude creeping through the woods basically. So whenever we feel trapped our brain imagines the worst.

Possible explanation but shadow people are a mysterious phenomenon encountered all over the planet and there are pics of them. There are encounters with a old witch looking hag in sleep paralysis. So your theory doesn’t really hold up.

I even saw a few in one of the rooms of the apartment i used to live. I was playing with toys and with the corner of the eye i saw a black mist in the upper corner of the room and as i looked at it, it went through the wall. Maybe they’re beings from another plane of existence and they’re curios about us? Maybe some are even scared of humans? All i know is laws of physics don’t apply to them. The room in which i saw that one always gave me a creepy vibe.

Another experience was when i was at my pc when i was like 9 and the door was locked but the door had blurry glass in the middle of it (blurry as in the model, not dirty) Plenty of it to see behind the door and i saw 2 meters behind the door there was a black figure standing there and i began crying. Also had frequent nightmares in that apartment. I was home alone and it was day, 3rd floor. Couldn’t have been a person. I was in the same room i was playing with toys

I used to have one nightmare that kept on repeating where i used to hide in that room from something and once i saw it’s outline through the glass, my breath turned heavy, ears ringing and i woke up. It wasn’t dark, and not tal so not the same entity idk. Kept repeating for weeks or months idk.

Another one that kept repeating is one where i wake up and see the light in the kitchen turned on and i go check it out. Usually i did that because one of my parents drank water and i go check on them. In the dream i go and check what it is and at the end of the hallway there is a pale woman with white dress and messy, dirty short black hair with empty eye sockets and it floated towards me very fast and i wake up

Now I’m no longer scared. Be it physical, sleep paralysis, dreams etc. Fear is the mind killer and they function on fear. It’s their fuel. We give them the power

When I was around 9 yo I would have the same nightmare every night for like a week.
In the nightmare I would be laying in bed and I would see a woman with black hair and white dress at the doorframe (would sleep with door opened) looking at me, then run towards me and I would wake up at that point. Kept happening until one day during the nightmare I just stoop up and fought instead of waiting to get attacked. Then it stopped.

Yeah sleep paralysis is brutal until you realize it’s temporary. I used to breathe heavily in kick my legs in attempts to awake myself. Only other times I saw something during my paralysis was 1. some Sikh looking male in a white dress and orange turban? I recall him being very good looking and having well groomed facial hair. The other it felt like something laying atop my chest, laughing at me in a girly voice.

not hatman but something similar…had sleep paralysis the night shortly after researching a lot of stuff about aliens and ufos and lied in bed, couldnt move. some voice telling me to stop researching about them while feeling extremly relaxed and peaceful. no panic at all

stopped researching right after that. weirdest thing is that i used some website with a lot of „proves“ and links. cant find it anymore for some reason
