I want to start sleeping on my back but it's incredibly hard to get used to it.
I only manage to brief through my nose during sleep when i lie on my back.

Yes, I did so for 16 years. When I got my wisdom teeth extracted I was forced to sleep on my back and have been doing so for the last 2 years.

How did it force you to sleep on your back?

why do you want to sleep on your back?

How did it force you to sleep on your back?
The doc said that I shouldn't have the sides of my face against the pillow for 2 weeks, until the gap from the extraction has healed. He said it could cause dry sockets plus my cheeks were extremely swollen so I obeyed fully.

Because I can't breathe through my nose when I sleep on my back.

it's not that hard tbh the only problem is that my nose clogs when my head is turned sideways so I breathe through my mouth at night.

sleeping on your stomach is fucked for your growth

did it my entire life, now i exclusively sleep on my back.

sleeping on your belly or on your side will deform your face.

I find it myself too hard to sleep on my belly, literally impossible and it is so uncomfortable. I mostly sleep sideways or on my back.

Like how? I've slept a lot on my side for years and years and turned out quite alright.

I know. That's also one of the reasons why I want to stop but I'm 22 so I doubt it really matters at this point

A hammock is the easiest way to sleep on your back. Not even joking. And the quality of sleep you'll get is superior as well. Yes, you will look like an absolute autist setting up a hammock indoors to sleep in, especially if you live in a flatshare with other people...
